1.0.514 October 2026
Added
- Say “stop”. “Stop”, “pause”, “never mind” or “that’s enough” ends whatever Marv is doing straight away: talking, walking you through something, or pointing.
Improved
- Code fixes in Notepad. Marv now finds the lines to change by their text instead of by line number, so Apply works in Notepad (which shows no line numbers) and anywhere the line number was off. If he can’t find them for certain, he leaves your file untouched.
- Walkthroughs end on their own when you’ve clearly moved on: clicking around in other windows, or missing the step three times in a row. No more Marv talking about whatever else you have open.
- Marv knows about his own features, so he’ll tell you about dictation (hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift) instead of saying he can’t do it.
Fixed
- Arrows and click rings no longer flash up for a moment before drawing in.
- Marks no longer blink when a menu or dropdown opens over the page they’re on.
- An arrow could appear late, after Marv had already moved on. It doesn’t any more.
1.0.414 October 2026
Added
- Invite friends. Share your code, and when a friend joins with it you both get 25 extra questions. Extra questions are used once your month’s run out, and they never expire. Find your code in Settings → Account → Invite friends.
- New users can enter a friend’s invite code while setting up Marv.
Fixed
- The Usage page now shows the right monthly allowances.
1.0.313 October 2026
Added
- Change a finished job. Ask Marv something like “make it sound better for LinkedIn” or “make it shorter”, and he reworks the job you just got, in the same job card.
1.0.213 October 2026
Added
- Emails without an email app. Ask Marv to write an email and he always drafts it, even with nothing connected. Copy it, or open it straight in your own email app.
- Pick where an email goes. With an email app connected, Marv asks which one to save the draft in, or none if you’d rather copy it yourself. Nothing is ever sent without your OK.
Improved
- Marv heads back to your cursor twice as fast after answering.
- His words fade before he moves, so nothing lingers on screen.
Fixed
- Your microphone stays allowed after an update. No more being asked again.
- The “What’s new” card no longer cuts off its button.
1.0.113 October 2026
Added
- What’s new card. After Marv updates himself, a small card shows what changed, once.
Fixed
- Two monitors: moving to your other screen while Marv was talking could show two of him. Now there’s only ever one Marv. He stays with whatever he’s pointing at, or follows your cursor.
- Highlights now fade 10 seconds after Marv finishes. They still stick to their tab, and wait for you if you switch away.
1.0.0Marv launches
13 October 2026
Marv is an AI that lives at your cursor on Windows. Hold Ctrl + Alt and ask about anything on your screen.
What Marv can do
- Point you straight to things. Ask where something is and he flies over and circles it.
- Explain anything on screen, drawing out the working step by step for maths, diagrams and ideas.
- Find and fix bugs in your code, with each fix waiting for your OK before it’s applied.
- Walk you through apps click by click, waiting for you at every step.
- Background jobs: research, comparisons, drafts and plans run in the corner while you keep working, and Marv taps you when they’re ready.
- Tidy your files: sort a messy desktop or a folder of receipts. Nothing is ever deleted, and every move can be undone.
- Dictation: hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift to type with your voice anywhere (never into password boxes).
- Drag a box around anything while holding the keys to ask about just that part.
- Save drawings as images, and ask Marv to bring them back later.
Privacy, built in
- Screenshots and audio are deleted after every answer. Nothing you say is saved.
- Marv never sends, buys, deletes or posts anything without asking you first.
- Your location is only used with your permission, only to the nearest city, and never stored.
Also in this release
- Automatic updates: Marv keeps himself up to date quietly in the background.
- Contact support and Report a problem, right inside the app.
- Connections preview: see what Marv will do in Gmail, Notion, Slack and more, all coming very soon.
- A new installer with the Marv look.
- Launch fixes: Marv now answers every question in a row, drawings close properly, and his words leave with him.
